Lesley Withers
Lesley Withers focuses her teaching and research on nonverbal, interpersonal and emotional communication. Her research specialization is in the communication of embarrassment; she is one of just a few communication researchers in this area of expertise. Withers' focus on nonverbal communication allows her to analyze the gestures, facial expressions, and posture of political speakers. She has published journal articles about embarrassment, attachment and online social support.
